  5. To install Cool Edit, copy (or unzip) all the files into their own program
  6. directory (such as C:\COOL95).  From Explorer, find COOL95.EXE and drag it to
  7. create a shortcut somewhere, or right-click on the desktop, choose Create
  8. Shortcut, and then find COOL95.EXE.  
  9.  
  10. NOTICE TO REGISTERED USERS OF PREVIOUS VERSIONS:  You will need a new number
  11. to use Cool Edit 95 if you registered at version 1.50 or below.  E-mail your
  12. name and address to syntrill@aol.com to request a new number free of charge.

  18. To Register, pull down Cool Edit's Help menu and select "Registration Form".
  19. This Help topic explains how to register; to see the form itself, click on
  20. the words "Registration Form" at the bottom.  You can select the entire form
  21. with the mouse and then copy it to a text editor or word processor.  You can
  22. choose from among 3 registration levels:

  24. $50  - Basic Registration  You will receive a registration number that will
  25.        unlock your copy so you can use any function at any time.
  26.  
  27. $100 - Preferred Registration  You will receive a registration number and
  28.        automatically receive shareware updates as they are released.  You are
  29.        also placed on our preferred list which will entitle you to other
  30.        goodies and special offers in the future.
  31.  
  32. $25  - Lite Version  You will receive a registration number turning your copy
  33.        of Cool Edit into Cool Edit Lite.  If you have no need for all the
  34.        fancy effects offered by Cool Edit, then register at this level.
  35.        This version has all the features of Cool Edit except for the
  36.        following:  Compressor, Delay, Distortion, Echo, Echo Chamber,
  37.        Envelope, Filter, Flange, Noise Reduction, Quick Filter, Reverb, and
  38.        Generate DTMF Tones.
